Entering MK early for breakfast reservation

If you have an 8:55 reservation For breakfast and the MK opens at 9 can you still enter early? I assume so since you are *supposed* to check in early but didn't know in practice what happens. If so, is there a specific gate to go to to enter or just approach any CM?

1. Depends on the CMs working the MK gate that morning.
I'd arrive by 8:30-ish and check in.

2. It will either be the entrance gate all the way to the left or all the way to the right of the rest of the gates. (See the #10s on my map below.)
It will have a "Character Breakfast" banner of the correct gate.
