Entering MK during Spectromagic

Hi-we have a 6:40 ADR for Chef Mickeys, and plan on going back to MK after we eat, even if it's just to go on a ride or 2 and see Wishes (the park closes at 10 that night). If we get there during Spectromagic, which is at 8 that night, will we be able to get in and through the crowd? Also, when the park closes at 10, do they stop letting you in line at 10, or do they stop the rides at 10, or do you have to be leaving the park at 10? We've been to Disney a few times, but haven't stayed until closing before. Thanks! We leave in 16 days and I am so excited!!!!!

If you arrive during Spectro you will have an "uphill fight" against the crowds, especially those leaving. However, you can take the train to either Frontierland or ToonTown and bypass the crowds.

Normally at Park Closing they will allow people in line to get on the ride. However, extremely popular rides (such as Soarin) they will close the Standby line long before Park Closing.

A few years ago we actually followed the back of the parade up Main Street. That was quite enjoyable and got to us where we wanted to go. It is near impossible to walk up Main Street while the parade is taking place. As a previous poster said, the train would be your best bet. No one is rushed out of the park at closing. Take your time to walk around or shop while the crowds depart. We did this in June after Wishes. We sat on a bench across from the castle and by the time we got outside the bus station was very quiet. BTW after you get past the train station on the way out look up behind you. I heard Mickey thanking everyone while we were leaving and thought it was a recording. I looked back and there he was at the train station waving goodbye to everyone. A nice touch .
