Entering MK after dinner on EMH night - Is it possible?

We currently have a dinner ADR for ‘Ohana at 6:15 on EMH night at MK. In hindsight I’m worried that by the time we get finished eating, entering MK will be challenging as we’re confronted with the sea of humanity waiting to watch HEA. Still hoping I can move up the ressie but any advice? ‘Ohana is my son’s favorite, otherwise I would just bag it all together.

What time is HEA that night? Do you want to see it from inside or are you just wanting to get into the park? It sounds like you're just wanting in, so I would still go to Ohana and then head to MK. It will be crowded, but if you can get into the stores, you can make your way towards the hub from inside the store. If you're not too close to HEA time, there should still be walkways roped off to the lands out from the hub, but that will all depend on what time you get there.

HEA is currently slated for 8pm. At this point I was just thinking about getting into the park to take advantage of EMH, and we’d watch HEA another night of our trip. Realistically, I’m estimating 90 minutes for dinner, which would have us arriving around the start of HEA (not great timing, but maybe it would be ok?)

Yeah, with that time frame, I don't see you getting into MK before HEA starts. You'll still want to make your way to MK as soon as dinner is done, but you may want to hang out near the train station until it's over. You'll have a very hard time making your way much farther than that.

My guess is they will have the Bypass open that basically takes you backstage to get around the crowds at that time.

I was under the impression they kept everyone moving towards the exit back there. Do they let you go towards the hub?

Honestly, I am not positive at Disney World, but they allow both directions at Disneyland because they want to keep the crowds off the street, makes it much more manageable.

Yeah, agree. While I have not personally tried, I would bet on not being allowed to go against the traffic flow in the bypass. They only open it for a very brief time after HEA to assist with exiting traffic.

Does it make a difference that the OP said this is a night with Evening EMH as far as whether they’d have a way in open?

We’re doing the exact same thing in March! Ohana at 6:30 & HEA is at 9:15 on a night with EMH. We just want in—we like seeing the fireworks from the rides!
