Entering Heavy Planning Stage ... a Couple of ???

Tomorrow we can book fast passes (60 days out) and have a couple of questions so we can strategically plan our FP's and activities as we near our departure date.

We are hoping to spend some time at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Polynesian after a day at MK. The last time we were there it opened at 4:00 PM, however we were advised to get there by 3:30 to get our name on a list for entry. We did and were the third party called and we enjoyed a nice seat (which we shared with another couple who entered later and weren't fortunate enough to find a seat). This time it looks like the opening time has changed to 3:00 PM and we are wondering if the recommended entry procedures have changed as well. Anybody with recent experience?

We are obviously looking to score a boarding group for RoR at Hollywood Studios and will attempt to get a FP for Smuggler's Run but for the other two FP's we might like to try for two for Midway Mania. Is it possible to book two FP's for the same ride on the same day? We will do our usual rope drop for RNRC and ToT but other than that we're not that interested in other attractions. Just wondering!

No, you can't book two for the same ride, but remember that the tiers have changed so you can grab FP's for RnRC, or ToT, and of course Midway, along with either Smuggler, or SDD. I would recommend trying for a FP (for at least one of your others) instead of relying on rope drop, as rope drop has gotten nuts with the Rise situation.

Yes, recommendations for entry procedures remains the same for Trader Sam's.

You cannot, initially, book 2 FP+ for the same ride, however, after you've gone through your first 3 FP+, you can always try for a 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. and try to get another one for Midway Mania then. Or book one FP+ for Midway Mania and go to Midway Mania right at RD to get that second ride in, so you don't need to worry about trying to snag an extra FP+ for it.

As 'Wishes says, and I should have clarified; you can't hold 2 FP's for the same ride at the same time, so you can try for a 4th FP for Midway, or any ride you want. Hope your FP day goes smoothly for you!

Don't worry about rushing to be at Trader's right at 3 - they'll sign you up and send you a text when there's room available. We usually browse the shops for 30 mins or so, or have a drink at Tambu while waiting.
