So do people think it is now "semiofficial", no ent rates for first half of 2005?
I call every few days, and keep hearing "early next week". Have heard that since early Nov.

I'm going in April, should I give up now?

I have given up, sadly. My rates are not great, but am no longer holding any hope that they will get better. If they do, it will be a plesant surprise!

If you have the 2005 Entertainment book you will see that the RPR is in the "Guaranteed Best Rate" section of the hotel part, not in the same section as last years book. You call Entertainment booking agents to get a price and if you already have a ressie with a lower price they will match it. But what's the point if you already have a reservation with a lower rate?

I tried to get them to match the price I saw at Orangevacations.com but they said "No, we can't match that price, too low!" Sooo...what's the guarantee? I even spoke to the supervisor and he said they couldn't go that low. I still don't get it. I've given up hope and booked the AAA discount. Only 10% but I got the Premium room upgrade, late checkout, etc. with Loew's Gold.

I'm in the same boat. We've never been to Universal, so my DH is willing to keep the ressie for FOTL no matter what the cost. I went and bought the Ent. book, got my FAN club card handy and it looks like no discounts...oh well, I'll just keep checking. :worried:
