Yes, that is short for Howard Johnson's entertainment rate. It's the up to 50% rate you get for select days. When you check-in you'll be asked to show the entertainment card that comes in the book (or just buy the card off ebay). The days should be found in this link, which sadly isn't working right now:What exactly is the ENT rate for the Hojo? Is that short for entertainment rate? Does that mean that you need an entertainment book?
How do I go about getting this rate or finding out if it is available for my dates? (June 27-July 2)
Thanks!
So, I need to order an Entertainment book for my area or for the Anaheim area? Does that even matter?
It looks like from the link we will be able to get the 15% off for our dates.
Thank you so much for the answers!
They did add all the rest of June as of a week ago, but they might have taken it off, I don't know, as that page is not responding for me right now.On Monday the last date available for the ent. rate was June 18th. Unless they have added days.
Just wanted to let you know that I booked the HoJo today for June, and I got a better rate with AAA than the Entertainment book.
FYI, the special entertainment book rate that we talk about around here gives a $59 base rate on a basic room. Then 69 and 79 for higher "tier" rooms. That's generally better than any other way to get a room, other than something like priceline.
But it has to be available during your dates, and then you have to call the hotel in Anaheim directly, during pacific time business hours, to make sure you are truly getting THE entertainment book rate we all talk about.
Although my previously saved link didn't work, just going through hojoanaheim.com, then discussion boards, then finding the e rate pages shows me what I've seen for weeks now, which includes Entertainment book rates through December of '09.
Right now, however, there are no dates at the end of June or in July at all.
But this can CHANGE! I once had my date pop up 3 days before my trip...I'd already reserved through orbitz and was in the "can't cancel" period so I couldn't switch hotels, but it did pop up.

When you call in house reservations do you have to give them a entertainment card number??? We are getting ready to book for October now that dates are up and wanted to make sure they wouldnt ask for that until we check in.
