Enough to do?

Hello everyone! I have 19 days booked for next summer and it breaks down like this: 8 nights at BCV studio and then 11 nights dedicated Savannah view studio at AKV. It will be me and my two kids (ages 7, 8). I know at BCV we are right on top of things...my concern is whether 11 days is too long at AKV. My kids are so excited to be able to see animals from the roomand so am I. Do you think we will feel too far removed for such a long part of our vacation? anyone who has stayed there-realistically-does it sound like a good plan to you? we will have a car so we can leave property if need be. I tend to rely a lot on Disney buses though..except for the days we pool hop which we do a lot! Any suggestions would be awesome! also-at BCV I will book extra activities for the kids.--what are available at AKV? Thanks so much everyone!

I might split the 11 days into 5 and 6 and change to a 3rd DVC---new Community Hall, new arcade, new location, new dining options. My kids
(7,11) would be bored with 11 days same place, but we use the pools, Community Halls a lot and don't go into the parks everyday.

I can and often do spend 11 days in one villa, and I love not having to move. There certainly is plenty to keep everyone occupied at AKV, and the story teller etc, will make it fun for kids that age. Now the studio, on the other hand....I doubt I could stay in a studio ANYWHERE for that long!!!

DW and i will be staying 11 nights at AKV next July. No kids, but we are looking forward to settling in and really feeling like home. I agree that there are tons of great things to do at AKV and seeing the animals never gets old!

19 days sounds like fun!

Wow! I would give anything to be able to go for 19 nights. We did 5 nights at AKV in a 2bed and we could have easily stayed another week and had plenty to do. I dont think that our kids (12, 9 and 7yo) could ever get tired of that resort. On the other hand, we switched to BC for our last 2 nights and it was fun to try something new. But i have to admit that I lost a whole day with the packing of 5 people and then moving us and then getting settled in again.

Thanks everyone...I am really looking forward to it. I am in graduate school and this will be my last summer that I can really play before I get a *real* job where I can't take off anytime i want! I am just going to play really hard I guess!! We love Boardwalk so I am tempted to move the last 5 nights there. but I really like the feeling off settling in so I think to be somewhere for 8 and then 11 days is really awesome. I know my kids would enjoy all that stuff they offer. I am going to plan activities based on where we are staying and at BCV I can plan a lot of stuff and I am just really wondering what activities can be planed at AKV? (pirate cruise, tea party, etc,..)
