Enough time for Fastpass 9:25-10:25am?

We were unable to get a fastpass for Flight of Passage on our Animal Kingdom day. We got the Navi River Journey Fastpass between 9:25-10:25am. If we went at ropedrop, would we have enough time to wait for Flight of Passage, and still fit in the Navi Fastpass by 10:25am? It is a 12/7, a Friday morning and AK opens at 9am. If it's possible, what time should we be at Animal Kingdom for a better chance of making ropedrop for FOP? Thanks for your advice.

It's definitely possible. But, it kind of depends on where you are in the rope drop queue. If you are towards the front of the pack, you may well be walking off FOP by 9:00 (because they often let people in a bit early for RD). If you are towards the back of the pack, the waits may be over an hour by the time you get to the ride. Even if you end up waiting 90 minutes, though, you'll be okay. Your NRJ window goes until 10:25, and you have a 15 minute grace period beyond that.

To beat the long queue, you'll want to be at AK at least an hour before the park opens. That should put you in a good spot to be off FOP in plenty of time for your NRJ FP.

Given the date you're going and the predictions for low crowd levels on that day, I am going to say that it's worth trying for. I'd be there at least and hour before rope drop as they often let the crowd in early. Then just keep up with the stampede and get in line. I have seen an astounding number of people in line at rope drop, so no promises, but ... it's worth a shot.

We were in Animal Kingdom when it opened this past week on Thursday. By the time we made it over to Pandora it was 9:10 and the wait was 2hrs!

Yikes! That's what I'm afraid of! I guess we'll see how it goes. If not , we'll be in Pandora for the Navi ride.

Don’t repeat this mistake. Getting there when the park opens is not how to do rope drop for FOP. As has been stated over and over - arrive at least 90 minutes before the park opens (not when it opens) and you will be on and off FOP in plenty of time for your 9:25 Navi.
It’s not really a matter of seeing how it goes, it’s a matter of whether you can get your crew there early enough to control your own experience.

When we were there 2 weeks ago they started letting people in at 8:15 even though the posted time was 9 and they had just announced they would open at 9. People on here had been saying they opened early and my family was like but this says 9. I kept telling them yes but they are opening early. No one believed me until the line started moving at 8:15. We had gotten in a shorter middle line and there was maybe 15 people in front of us to scan in. We then walked straight to the ride with the rest of the crowd. The line started way beyond the queue line. When we got up to the queue it said wait time was 60 minutes but we kept on moving through. We never stopped moving until we got to the holding rooms. We were walking off the ride at 9:03. I had made our navi river journey for 10:20 thinking we would be waiting in the FOP line until later. So, we had a lot of time to waste. I would just plan on getting there about 7:30 and leave your navi river alone.

If by "rope drop" you mean getting there at 9:00, then no.

If you get there 60 to 90 minutes before the park is scheduled to open, then yes.

Isn't there usually a 15 min grace period as well, so they could scan in at NRJ by 10:40am? That extra 15 minutes sometimes helps....

Arrive 75 minutes before scheduled opening and you will be walking off FoP right about the scheduled opening time. Watch for AK to change to an earlier opening as it often does a couple weeks before your day. If that happens they will add fast passes for that hour.

Last week, we did not have a FP for FoP.
AK opened at 9, we arrived at 7:50. there were probably 150 people already in line. They gradually opened up more turnstyles, so watch closely. we moved from about 40 people back to 6 back with opening more turnstyles.
At 8:30 we were let in and quickly moved to the CM line near the entrance to Pandora. At 8:40 we were walked to the lines for Navi and FoP. We were in the first room by 8:45.
Exited the ride and walked onto Navi before 9. walked out of Pandora about 9:15 and the line for FoP was down the bridge by Lion King and then back to the main path in Pandora. Line was 120 minutes.
We walked over to EE and rode twice with no wait.
It was worth arriving over an hour before Ak opened to have that short of a line for both rides.
RD is not arriving at 9 am.

We were at Animal Kingdom on 10/3, a day that Touring plans had posted with the same expected crowd levels as your day. We were at the gates @ 8:22. They had already opened and we followed the crowd to Pandora. The line for Flight of Passage headed towards the bridge to Festival of the Lion King and u-turned there (8:30). Posted time was 60 minutes at this point. We passed under the wait time sign @ 8:37 and were at the first room @ 8:48. Off the ride and through the store by 9:08. While your mileage may vary, I'd say 10:25 is doable. Ideally, you'll be off early enough to head over to Na-vi without a Fastpass and then can switch it to something else.

Is it better for Navi at rope drop? We have FoP FP for after TH breakfast, but want to do Navi beforehand standby. Our adr is for 9:55, and I do not really want to be at the park 90 minutes prior just for Navi. lol
