Enough of Winter!

As I sit here staring at the 6-7 foot tall snowbanks outside, I can't tell you how happy I am knowing that two weeks from Wednesday I won't have to look at snow for a whole week!

We will finally be warming up to just above zero this week, but we have been in a deep freeze since beginning of January, and it's driving us stir crazy.

Anyone else getting away next month?

18 days for us. I too am so tired of winter. Soon we can get the 14 day forecast and see what the temps will be.

Also 18 days here! I have a bag already open in the basement into which I'm tossing some of our 'essentials' ... pool toys, bathing suits (not gonna need them when I'm out chopping ice off the sidewalk this week, I don't think), sun hats, sunscreen.

Just dreaming of the warmth of the sun!

We fly Weds the 5th as well. For 10 days. We just came back Jan 2nd from not stellar xmas vacation weather but far better then the minus 35 they were having in Northern Ontario.

We leave in 5 more sleeps !!!!!

I can't wait, as we are getting another blast of old man winter tonight !!

Ugh! We ended up cancelling our March trip, so I'm just going to suffer through the winter.

We leave Thursday the 20th, and it's supposed to be plus temps and rain almost the whole time we're gone, hopefully most of the snow will be gone by the time we get back.

We're out of the white stuff on March 5th but heading to Sarasota and a visit to Busch Gardens. So close to Disney...but we'll have to wait until late summer. That is if I don't have an itch in a few months and try to justify ANOTHER vacation....

I totally can't wait for our trip! We have 36 days to go, which means we are leaving next month but it really can't come soon enough. The snow is driving me crazy and while we have had some nice temperatures lately, that means that everything is melting and is icy. Our snowbanks are still incredibly high too! Florida is the only thing that is keeping me going!

I have a gazillion things to take care of before we leave on our trip but I spent most of today doing mousekeeping envelopes as I just can't stay focused enough to do any actual work! DH isn't going to be happy that he has no clean clothes tomorrow...but I guess he'll just have to do some laundry in the morning because right now, DIS boards are more appealing to me than the washing machine!

I wish everyone lots of pixie dust with their trips!

We leave in 10 days, my DH is so ready to get out of this winter - we are in Calgary but the whole country has had a good old fashioned winter this year - it has warmed up from the -20s that seemed to last three months but still, we are headed to Disneyland, might not be as warm as Florida but still an improvement!

As much as I love having four distinct seasons, I'm really quite finished with this cold and snowy winter.

We have 36 more days to go. The weather has been ok this last while but colder temps are on the way. By the end or March I'll be so ready to go to FL. Last year we didn't have a trip planned but by the time spring break came we were done with winter having gotten one of our cars stuck in snow banks 3 times in a week. We booked on Fri for a Sat departure. That's what I call last minute. Lol.

We also fly on March 5--our 31st anniversary! Doing a short cruise on the Disney Dream and then 10 nights at Bay Lake Towers! Another storm tomorrow...maybe I'll start packing, lol!

48 more days. Snow/ice storm again today, no plow on our road again. They must think when school is cancelled so is work, not!
