We are going to Universal for three days this August before spending a week in Disney. We were planning on driving from Ft. Lauderdale the first morning and seeing Gatorland in the pm, doing one day at Universal Studios and then the next day at Seaworld. Now I'm checking out ticket prices and see that the 2park weeklong admission is 99.99 per person. I wonder if we should hit Universal Studios on our arrival day, then do Islands of Adventure the second and then do another day at US. The price is right and I wouldn't mind seeing what IOA has to offer, but we have two young children (2 and 5). Considering that we will probably leave right after lunch on the last two days to do a little nap and pooltime, do you think that there would be enough for us to see and do to justify spending all of our non-Disney vacation time at Universal?

Your kids are the perfect age to enjoy Suess' Landing in IOA and the Sinbad show. We took my niece when she was 3.5. We were in the Orlando area for 16 days and ended up spending 7 of them between US/IOA. We also did Seaworld and she really liked that too. If you have 3 days I would do one at Universal, one at Islands of Adventure and one at SeaWorld. Don't forget that the larger rides have child swap if you want to use it.

I think you would have plenty to do there for the little kids. There are lots of play areas with water and allot of the shows are good for all ages. We are going to be there in a little over a week and staying for 5 days, that gives us plenty of time to enjoy the parks and hang out by the pool.:banana:

Plus, for me I feel that if I wanted to see gators I would just walk out my back door :lmao:

There is plenty for kids to do.In fact your gonna have a hard time dragging them out of the play area's!!:thumbsup2
