Enhanced id recognized at MCO?

Just in case anyone is curious, I had no issue using my NYS enhanced ID at the Austin airport yesterday.

ugh....my timing for updating my address on my driver's license couldn't have been worse. My oldest lost his permit, and I thought it would be a great idea to make the trip to the DMV doubly worth it. They cut my old driver's license while I wait for the new one. I should have just said I lost it. I have a military ID, and a Global Entry card.

If I was traveling alone, then I'd have no problem taking the extra time to "educate" others, but DD will get frustrated if things don't go smoothly. Perhaps, I should just bring along our passports....

A belt and 2 pairs of suspenders. Overkill. Do what makes you happy.
You're probably right. Thanks for talking me off that ledge.:rotfl2:

Honestly, I was thinking DD was going into this already frustrated with my excessive planning. I told her we were leaving for the airport at about 1, and she was trying to convince me to wait until 2. Turns out she thought I meant 1 AM! It makes sense, because we did do an early morning flight the last time we flew. I thought she was just annoyed that I was making her sit in the airport longer than necessary...

Sometime wallets get lost or are stolen.

Global Entry is the "best" ID to lose. You only need it for land crossing, Mexico and Canada.

You don't need the card for TSA pre or for air Entry.

Drivers license, passports and military ID need to be replaced sooner rather then later.

Yeah...that's my thought.
Granted, my military ID is practically a symbolic "membership" at this point. DH has been retired for almost 8 years now, and we don't live near any military bases. It does act as our medical insurance card, but that's on file at like every medical provider within 300 miles now... Even promotional Disneyland tickets were available through the GovX portal tax-free...

I'll probably put the passports away.

Just wanted to circle back and post that my enhanced drivers license from NY was accepted at MCO with no issues. Hope everyone else has knowledgeable TSA agents as well.
