I'm decorating my DS's room in pirates stuff. I want to use vinyl letters on his wall with this phrase-

Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirate's life for me. (bet you couldn't that was the phrase I was going to use :) )

I don't want to mess up any chance of him being an English genius, so please help me to punctuate the phrase the correct way. Thanks.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me.

This how I would do it but I'm no English Expert. ;)

DH, the pirate expert is telling me "Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho! A pirate's life for me!"

ETA: Or, alternately, "Yo-Ho! Yo-Ho! A pirate's life for me!" pirate:

I think this would be most accurate, but then again, pirate-speak certainly isn't supposed to be the Queen's English! :teeth:

... Too funny!

I think either way is fine. I would love to see pics of the finished product. :thumbsup2

This is how it appears in the lyrics of the song, but I like the way it looks with the hyphens and exclamation points better myself.
