Anyone have personal experience with the rollaway bed offered by Waldorf London and Paris Opera hotels offered in Cities of Kinights and Lights ABD trip for families of three. My concern is comfort for my 13 year old son.

Anyone successfully request two beds in London and Paris successfully?

Thanks in advance

Having traveled with ABD and a family of three I think you have a very valid fear. There is a problem when you pay a full fare and your kid is stuck in a roll away.

We were at different hotels for our Knights & Lights trip for a family of three, and have been on the Germany ABD and Central Europe ABD. DD was 19 on our first trip. Some hotels have had two doubles, but when a "rollaway" has been the bed for the third guest, only two were normal size. We had at least three different hotels that the rollaway was super tiny - and DD is petite! She joked that she knew why it was called a "rollaway" - she almost rolled out of bed a few times~! (of course, she WAS given her own king room at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, so she couldn't complain TOO much!)

We just came back from the London/Paris trip. As a family of 3, the sleeping arrangements are the only thing that I'm not completely happy with during the trip. In both hotels, we had a king size bed and a "rollaway" is a standard twin size bed. The extra bed in the room provided comfortable sleeping arrangements, but made the room cramped when trying to get ready.

Thanks for the feedback on your London/Paris trip...this is why I'm holding off on ABD in Europe until DD is out of the house :)

We just returned and the rollaway are full twin size mattresses. Our 15 yr old son found them very comfortable.

Thank you for the input!

Good question... I was wondering the same. We are booked for London/Paris next year and hopefully DD won't mind it much. She's petite so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
