Engineering CP?

Has anyone worked under the engineering (mechanical preferably) department of the CP? I'm currently a freshman at Marquette University and i reallly want to do the CP but i was wondering what type of work they would make me do.

Hey! I'm also an ME and as far as I know there are no engineering roles through the CP. You can apply for a professional internship (tend to be very competitive) that is engineering based. I applied for one last summer for "Design and Engineering" and it seemed awesome but alas it did not pan out... oh well.

The CP is a great way to get your "foot in the door" at Disney though. Like most big companies, Disney (from what I understand) likes to hire from within so if you get in, do well and your manager can put you in contact with someone else and give you a good recommendation it would be more than worth it.

I'm a mechanical engineering major and did the Spring Advatage CP this year. I was determined to be in attractions to be able to see the operations of an attraction. During my CP I also took the Professional Development Study for Engineering. This allowed me to tour many different behind-the-scenes tours and network with a lot of different engineering departments. I learned a ton and have no doubt about heading back to Florida after graduating.

Hey ntoeman! Would you definitely recommend the Engineering course? Was there a lot of homework? The course description sounds great but I wasn't sure if it translated into a great class. If you could elaborate on what you said above I'd really appreciate it
