Engagement Photo Shoot Time?

We will be down the last week of May for our planning session. We are also planning on doing an engagement photo shoot with Misty Miotto who will be the photographer at our wedding in November.

Misty said she would like to schedule the photoshoot 2 hours before sunset. As the sun sets in Orlando at 8:15 the end of May she suggested getting together at 6:15 for a 2 hour session. Has anyone else done photos at the time? It sounds a little late but i am sure she knows best and I know they say not to take photos mid day because of the sun being right above you. I just want to make sure there will be enough light to get some great shots.

We are planning on using the Poly for our photoshoot so hopefully we will get some great sunset shots there.

I live in Miami, three hours south or Orlando and I can assure you that the sun sets around 8:10-8:20 down here. I think it would be a beautiful time for pictures... Florida sunsets are legendary! If you have any concerns call Misty and talk to her about it. I'm sure she'll tell you why she picked that time for pics... maybe hearing it from her it might ease your mind! Have fun!

I've heard wonderful things about Misty Miotto and her work. This is one of those areas where a local knows the "area" and a professional knows the best times etc. I think I would trust her judgement!

I just had mine a week and a half ago. Sun is setting around 8pm now. But our pictures was 430-630pm. We had good light.

Thanks everyone for calming my concerns. I do know I have seen some beautiful sunsets at the Poly so hopefully we will get a good evening for this. I also trust Misty's knowledge of the area.
