See a lot of endurance drinks out there and I'd like to try one for my long runs, but there are so many to choose from.

Who has used any of the following? What were your thoughts on it? Thanks.

Hammer Heed
Hammer Perpetuem
Nuun energy tabs
Roctane ultra endurance (with caffeine)

I've only used Nuun and I have no complaints about the taste but I stopped using it because it is very low in carbs. I switched to Fluid and it works well for me. I would be interested to hear if anyone has used the Hammer products and what their thoughts are on them.

Well, no matter what someone else says, it's all about your body and your stomach. If you think the ingredients in those drinks will help you, try them.

I have issues with lots of ingredients, and it came down to Clif brand electrolyte powder for me. I'm still checking out the VegaOne products, though. Have liked one bar, have despised one gel. I've got another product to try before I go in search of others. But I do like the Clif powder. Normal sugar, some electrolytes, seems to work for me. :)

Someone else would feel differently!

As Coach Charles says (or quotes?) we're all an experiment of one! Gotta find out for ourselves what works for our bodies.

I have been researching E-fuel. It looks like it could be a good fuel source.
I tried Nunn it did not work for me. Upset my stomach.
Currently using Scratch Labs. I have been having good results as a fuel source.
Looking for something with more sodium than Scratch labs.

e-fuel and e-gel helped get me through Ironman Florida last year and Dopey this year along with other races plus my 135 mile birthday bicycle ride on July 13th. I have a 100+ mile ride this Saturday and again both will be with me. No stomach issues with either.

What are primarily using them for? Heed is more like a typical sports drink, where perpetuem is typically used for longer distance racing. Lots of info can be found here... I use Heed and have for years- less sugary tasting than most drinks, gently on the system. I'm a Hammer fan and find their products work great for me. (Peanut Butter Hammer Gels are awesome!). Highly suggest them - and you can get a discount if you order via their website by entering code #155476 when you order. 15% off I believe... taken my full time from 5:00 to just over 3:00 and my 1/2 from 2:15 to under 1:25 :) YMMV
