End of October wait times?

October 2015 was the busiest October I've ever seen. Many days felt like Christmas, especially at MK and Epcot.

MK was best on a party day, which meant decreased park hours. Though in past years, daytime on party days meant a ghost town and that certainly wasn't the case this October. Mornings of party days uncrowded and pleasant up to about 10:30. It was moderately crowded from 10:30 to 4. At 4 the crowd level picked up significantly due to party guests entering.

The F&W festival was great the 1st hour. Then it picked up significantly. By night time, bottlenecks were common place around World Showcase.

I totally agree with "lovethattink". We will be going again for our 7th year at the end of October and it has really changed over time. While the weather is usually very nice, the parks have become very crowded with the Halloween parties and parties within the party and the F & W is getting bigger every year and that too has more and more events to go to. One of our biggest disappointments is that party days are more quiet at MK, but with reduced hours and party goers being able to get in at 4 there is virtually no 4th FP+ availability on those days. While the crowd is better than non-party days wait times for POTC and HM go between 30-45 min. We continue to go at this time of because DD has a few days off of school, however, I don't know of any time any more that can be considered really quiet.

Before switching to Food&Wine trips we were early March people and if we skip Columbus Day and 2 days before and after our Oct trips are less crowded than early March was/is. Veterans of Oct do say that it is getting more popular but we only noticed this when we did 9 days with Columbus Day right in the middle.

We have been in mid to late October for the last ten years. Each and everyone was more crowded than the year before. It is not Christmas crowded, but it is not slow by any means. Last year was very crowded.

We did end of Oct 14 and Oct 15. Oct 15 was a lot more crowded. I would say about 30-40% busier. MK was significantly more crowded. We had mostly walk ons in 14 to 30 plus minute waits last year. World showcase looked like weekends on a Monday for f&w. The biggest difference was Disney Springs. In 14 it was empty during the week, but jam packed all week last year. Don't get me wrong we still had a great time but it was eye opening. We may skip this Oct and head to DL or on a cruise.
