End of October 2012 - POFQ?

We will be at WDW from 10/27-10/31 this year. We have not booked anything yet but are leaning towards Port Orleans FQ. How can I find out if/when there might be discounts?

Also, we are thinking of purchasing a 2 day pass (no parkhopper, waterpark, etc) and then adding on while down there if we want more time at the parks. Is it better to purchase a package or buy hotel, tickets, meal plan separately?

you can get a room at POFQ with the dining plan free and a 2 day ticket..
It is better with the current offer of free dining to book the package.....the only thing better then free food might be a room only discount but right now free dining is what is out unless you didnt want a package but then you would have to pay oop for food and you could get your room and tickets

Thanks! I don't see Free Dining with PORQ, but do with the Riverside. Maybe I am not searching correctly?
