Who is joining us in the trek along I-10 from Texas to Florida the end of May early June?

Seems like half the cars I see while we drive to WDW each year along this stretch of road are from Texas.

We will begin our trip on May 27th.

We are not driving, we are flying....DFW to MCO (OIA)...
June 2 - June 9

By the way - I also live in Rowlett - I live in Waterview.

I am considering a trip to WDW May 18-22, so I'd be there a little earlier. I'd like to be there for Arlo Guthrie in early June, but I think crowds would be a little smaller mid-May.

With the new celebration, I would not bet on that for certain. I hope for your sake that you are right, but I am under the impression from my calls to CRO that they are booking fast. I think that is why codes have not been released yet.

We're from Louisiana, but we'll join up on I-10 on May 29 in Lafayette!

Maybe we should just get a huge bus and put "Disney or Bust" on the side of it and pick up everybody on the way. :)

I'll make my last trek along I-10 (after detours down I-35, I-20, and I-49) at the end of May when I move from school in Oklahoma to Orlando for good!

:goodvibes Put me down for the snacks! Remind everyone to bring their guidebooks.....pop quizzes will be given at each state line!

We will be on the road on the 27th too! No school on Friday so we will hit the road. Anyone planning on stopping? If so where? We were thinking Destin or Pensacola this time. Normally we drive straight thru, but we dont check in until Sunday so we need to take it slow or pick up another night.

Wow drive straight through huh? :worship:

We would KILL each other.

On the way there we always take it slow.. and make a stop in Baton Rouge and then again in Tallahassee. We usually end up stopping around 3pm and then swim, have a nice relaxing dinner and maybe do something fun with our girls in the evening..get to bed early and hit the road again.

On the way back we usually spend one night. Not sure how we are going to break the trip up this year. Each year is a bit different.

We're leaving East Texas area on May 30th.,driving straight through is the plan, but my brother is in Mobile, and he may just have to make room if we get sleepy eyed!

We drove last year. Stopped in Pensacola on the way there and srove straight through coming home. We're flying this year. I hate planes but my wife seems to hate the long tiring dries more!! Leaving IAH to MCO on May 31. I noticed a lot of Texas plates last year while driving and noticed quite a few in the WL parking lot.

We are heading out after work on May 25th. We will be driving straight through, which works out best for us with our 4 kids. We will meet you guys at WL! princess:

We will be hitting the road May 31st--gonna try driving straight through. We don't usually pick up I-10 until Alabama. This is our first time to try driving straight :scared1:

We're coming from eastern OK on June 5, but will be passing through Paris and down to Marshall on the way. Going I20 to Jackson though, so we won't be seeing all of you on I10 until Mobile. I've got my "Asleep at the Wheel" cd queued up for the Texas portion of the drive! Picking one out for each state from Asleep at the Wheel and Nanci Griffith in Texas to Molly Hatchet and the Outlaws in Florida. Green grass and high tides forever!

We'll be leaving a little earlier...on the 19th.

But I wouldn't mind catching the bus heading back to Disney!!! :cool1:

I don't know if this counts or not. We now live in Wichita Kansas(used to live in San Antonio). June 7th we will be driving to Houston Hobby to fly out to MCO. We check into Port Orleans on June 8th-15th. Hope to see some of you there!
