Ok, so I'm trying to plan another trip for next year for my daughter and I. I'm not sure it will happen or not (she has to get braces $$ ) but I'm monitoring prices nonetheless. Right now I'd like to go either the middle of July (same time we went this year so I'm familiar with crowds, heat etc.) or the end of March during her spring break.
For those of you who know such things, are crowd levels roughly the same? I don't mind the crowds to bad, since I can't really avoid them with our schedules, but I'd like some insight on the differences of those times?

Thoughts? Musings?

tink2dw is right, the crowds will be about the same (maybe Spring Break a little more crowded), but the weather is much different. If you like hot (like me), go in July. March is a little more cool and could have a little (maybe) rain. Another reason to go in July is that there will probably not be any rides down for refurb. Even though Spring Break is a high season, DLR sometimes has certain rides down.

We went earlier this year at the end of March for Spring Break, and honestly, the crowds were good on Sunday, but on Monday they were a bit more wild.

I think if you go in the morning, come home in the afternoon to play in the pool at your hotel & rest, and come back in the evening that things will be fine.

We are going back next year for Spring Break, so we are not deterred by the crowds in the least!

:)

My thoughts exactly. Including the part about personally liking it warmer. As far as weather goes, here is some historical data to use for comparison:

Those are helpful comments, thank you! We were so fortunate when we went this past July as far as the weather is concerned. It was about 83 to 85 every day. I'm terrified if hitting it when it's 100 degress or more! Us redheads would burst into flames! :scared1:
The refurb issue is a good point.

Entertainment is generally in full swing during summer as well, whereas there COULD be some entertainment not scheduled depending on when you go in March.

If it were me, I'd go in July.. but NOT the 4th! No no no no no no no! :upsidedow
