End of June..are we CRAZY?

We've had a 2 week trip planned. 1st week in Clearwater (June 23-July 1), 2nd week in St. Augustine (July 1-8). My DD is totally into HP and my son is finally tall enough for all the rides! So I started to consider cutting Clearwater short and spending a couple days at US/IOA (June 29-July 1). Is this a completely insane thought??

Of course it'll be hot, but IMO, June and July were nowhere near as busy as it was in December and January.

No, it sounds like a good plan to me.

If you stay onsite at one of the hotels that offer express it will be a piece of cake.

Nope. We'll be there June 26-30. Bringing a Disney family who wants to convert to the dark side. Can't wait.

We went in June 2 years ago and while you did have to wait awhile for most rides I didn't think it was as busy as it could be.

We are actually doing that right now. We're at the Sandpearl and it is beautiful. We are heading to Universal on Tuesday. I actually wish we had more time in Clearwater.

You're driving right past itmight as well stop midtrip. Kids will likely be looking for something different to do after a week on the beach anyway.

Clearwater beach is beautiful but not a whole lot going on there other than the pier/aquarium unlike other beach areas we enjoy.

You'll be catching the beginning of 4th of July travelers on the 1st, but that time period should be less busy than July overall
