We are planning to add a 3 night stay on our trip this summer and debating DLH vs GCH, someone mentioned downtown disney was starting construction and that it would affect DLH, where can I find more info on this?? and also does Disneyland usually release room discounts and is it known ahead of time?? we are frequent WDW visitors but never been to DL.

Usually not many discounts at Disneyland's hotels.

As far as discounts for this summer????
It's too early, the current room discount runs into April.
If there is one it won't be out for a few months.

I watch for Disney Promotions to hit their website.

You can always book now and if you find a special rate, call and ask for an adjustment. Many of us have done this and it isn't a problem.
