Does anyone know when the celebration ends? I know its supposed to end like in November, but does anyone know the exact date?

I believe it ends Nov. 5th. It started on May 5th of 2005. That would be exactly 18 months.

That was the original plan, AFAIK, but that has changed. The celebration is now expected to end September 30, 2006.

Wierd...I guess that would make it a 17 month long celebration.

OH, I was hoping it would be going on when we are there around Halloween.

So, what's next?

:sad2: What will we miss?

There hasn't been much indication of them actually ceasing any of the celebration's offerings, yet. They'll probably return the park hours back to normal, so MK will close at 6PM again in the off-season, as it typically has in past, non-celebration years. As a result, it is likely that Spectromagic and Wishes will be presented just once or twice a week. However, that's, again, just standard things going back to standard-normal. I think we'll also see the end to the special celebration-specific dessert offerings, but in return we'll get new, non-celebration, special dessert offerings. The new things (Soarin', ME, etc.,) will probably continue as is for a while, though ME might gain a small charge.

I had the same question because we're planning our family trip to WL to arrive on Sept. 30, 2006! I emailed Disney directly and asked them when the Celebration will end and they said the same date. I am a little disappointed after I already jumped the gun and bought our gold Mickey ears and t-shirts for the trip! Does anyone know if the castle decorations will be coming down that week as well? I really was looking forward to seeing the castle all gussied up! ;)

I called Disney World and asked them when the celebration ends and they told me Sep. 30th. Which totally blows because I was looking soooooo forward to the celebration. I just really hope everything will still be there, well except for cindereallabration cuz they will probably get rid of that show and bring back the original show or replace it with a new one. BUT good news is we are going Dec 1 - 11th our 1st time going to DW in December. And we're gonna be there when they tape the parade for xmas morning :thumbsup2 and we're gonna be staying at the Polynesian - our 1st time staying there. Normally we stay at the Grand Floridian but I wanted a little change. We stayed at all stars movies once and it was OK. I guess I'm more of a deluxe person lol. Gotta love that monorail access! :lmao: So even tho Im gonna miss out on the celebration, I get to stay at a nice hotel and be there for xmas season and for the taping. Anyone been there during xmas for the taping? Is there any tips I should know and has anyone stayed at the Polynesian? Whats the crowds and weather like during that the 1st week of December?

I didn't even think about the Celebration ending before we get there (planning on arriving 10/1). For those have seen it, would it be worth arriving a day early to see it? or will it be down by Sept 30th?

There is really no indication, yet, what will or will not be changing on October 1, itself.

Any ideas as to what to expect once the celebration is over? We are going in December and am curious. We already saw the castle as it was already decorated when we were there in March, but curious about other changes.
