End Of Aug Or Sept?

Trying to decide between a 8 day trip Aug 24-31 or a 6 day Sept 21-26.We have gone the same time in Sept and it was still quite hot anyway(mid 80's)but was not very crowded. I have never gone in Aug but with the free dining I could do an 8 day-I don't want to do 8 in Sept because my daughter is starting kindergarten and I don't want her to miss much- she is only missing 3 school days cause of a jewish holiday.Have to say that i really don't like the heat but it does not bother my husband or daughter,but with the extra time we could take pool breaks.

IMHO i think August is hotter and more muggy. September has always been my favorite time to go. Right after my DD's bday...late sept. Once again we're going the same time this year..yes with FREE DINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have lived in Florida for 20 years and I can honestly say that there is really NO difference in heat between those two times. Florida has two seasons: HOT which is from May-November and NOTAS HOT: from December-April. If I were you, I would go for the 8 day, the temperature will not be even one degree different. Enjoy your trip!!!!!

The crowd level will be significantly higher in Aug than it is in Sept - and coupled with the added heat and humidity, I vote for Sept. Although you will be able to stay less time - it's the quality of that time that would matter to me. BUT - then again - a Hot, Humid, Crowded day in WDW is better than an average day home!

We went once in August and my in-shape husband got heat exhaustion. We will never go in August again.

We tend to go in October, so I would choose September for its lesser crowds and hopefully lesser humidity.

The temperature will be the same in either August or September. But hopefully you can partake in the Free Dining Plan that Disney is offering.
