First time poster here. My little family went to Disney for the first time last year. Me (31), Wife (29), and daughter(4) and had a blast. The only bad things from last years trip was crowded and cold. We went from March 23-29th. There was a cold front that came through that same week. But as you can tell we loved the experience even though there was a 350 min wait at Toy Story at Hollywood Studios. My wife is a teacher and gets limited time off like most and this year with Easter falling later there Sprint break got pushed back. We are planning to going April 20-28th. I see TP has crowds alot smaller than last year when we went. I wanted to get any tips to make this trip the best ever. Last year we kinda roamed around and didn't know what to do and most everything we did was a long wait. Can anyone give me some do's and don'ts for my 5 year old daughter and us. Thanks

Welcome! You are in the right place! I would suggest spending some time reading on this forum. There is a ton of information on here. As for another resource, I would recommend easywdw.com Josh is the guy that runs that site and he has some great info on there. I particularly think his cheat sheets are awesome and a good starting point. http://www.easywdw.com/category/cheat-sheets/ He also has a monthly crowd calendar posted for each month and recommended parks to visit on each day. I have always found his advice to be spot on.

Are you staying onsite or off? If onsite be sure to read up some on the new FP+ and make some FP+ reservations ahead of time so you don't have to deal with a 350 minute wait!

My biggest suggestion to people is to get there early - i.e. when it opens if not before. You can get SO much done in the first 2 hours that a park is open and have very little waits for attractions and characters. My family are definitely not early risers and I always have to drag them out of bed, but then later in the day they admit it was worth it when they see huge waits as we leave the park and others are just arriving.

I would probably plan to spend at least 2 days at MK for your daughter, maybe 3 depending how many characters she's interested in meeting. Other things that my 5 year olds have liked are Soarin', Test Track, and Nemo at Epcot, Toy Story, Star Tours, Playhouse Disney at DHS, and Safari, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, and It's Tough to Be a Bug at AK.

Hope this helps! Ask away and you'll get a lot of help. :)

Thanks. We are staying at Pop Century? That's where we stayed last year and loved it cause it had its on bus route and didn't stop at any other hotels.

Easter is April 20 this year so you will be there from Easter Sunday through the end of that week. I would expect the parks to be pretty crowded...at least 7 or 8 crowd levels.
