End date for SSR contracts

What is the end date for SSR contracts in 2054.
Would any use years get points in 2054?

You know, this got me thinking.

I know the contract ends in 2054 and people will get their point allocations in 2053, but do you have until the points expire in 2054 to actually use them, or would you have to use those points by Jan. 31, 2054?

For instance, if you have a December UY, you would get your last allocation of points on Dec. 1, 2053 and those could potentially be banked and not expire until Nov. 30, 2055.

Scuba... I think the way this will work out is that if you have Dec UY, you'd better borrow them for use before Dec 1 of '53 (or '41) or plan on staying in Dec or Jan. The "Club," or more properly the condo associations, cease to exist on Jan 31.

Now, my personal belief is that Disney will seek to milk the cash cow and find some way in the 2030s to sell "extension" packages to either bring the older resorts in line with SSR and what follows, or they'll select some time frame to remodel/rebuild the resorts for a couple years and then stand up "son of DVC."

This won't work because there aren't enough units for everybody to borrow ahead. All the resorts would completely fill up for the entire year of 2053/2041 and a lot of people would still have points and no place to go.

DVC can also suspend banking/borrowing and they may do that near the end.

Actually nobody knows for sure how it will work. DVC probably doesn't know for sure themselves.

There are plenty of possibilities, such as selling extensions such as VAScubaGuy said, or they might resell on a phase in to new members, beginning with Feb 2054, selling 1/12ths of the units, leaving 11/12th for members to still use, then in Mar 2054 sell another 1/12th, leaving members with 10/12ths, etc, until the year is up.

Anyway, I'm not concerned personally since in 2054 I'd be 110 and probably not in any condition to do Disney anymore....

I agree , if I'm still alive I'll be happy, I won't be worried about the points that year just about if I can get someone to agree to push me around in my wheelchair. If I can't go I'm sure some family member will be wearing a webcam the whole time so I can experience the trip from home.LOL
