Encinitas Area?

I'm trying to find an affordable but decent hotel to stay at somewhere between San Diego and DL, for a couple of night's stay. I want to visit the San Diego area and we have a friend who lives near Carlsbad, who we hope to visit.

I came up with the Best Western Encinitas which sits on a bluff overlooking the town and Pacific Ocean.

Does anyone have an opinion of the hotel and area? How long of a drive is it from DL (have HoJo booked) and into San Diego, from Encinitas?

I know Encinitas. I worked for the City of Encinitas one summer many years ago. The city is eclectic. You have million dollar homes and beach shacks. Artists and free spirits tend to congregate in the downtown area.

It is about a 1.3 hour drive to Disneyland. Travel times to San Diego attractions vary: Downtown - 35 minutes, Sea World - 30 minutes, Carlsbad - 10 minutes.

I am not familiar with the hotel you mention. I would personally choose a resort or hotel in Carlsbad. If you need any more information, please send me a pm.
