Hi I’m planning on booking the enchantment dessert party for my family including grandpa who uses a mobility scooter. Wondering how the handicap/wheelchair viewing is within the plaza garden viewing area. Also if we would still need to arrive early to get a spot in that area or not. I’ve heard that it does not typically fill up and then cast members allow other guests to enter that area right before the show.

But I’m just trying to make sure that the viewing is separate from the rest of the plaza garden area, and also make sure I don’t arrive too late. Any help and suggestions would be very appreciated, thank you!

The last dessert party we went to at MK was at Thanksgiving, and it was at the Tomorrowland Terrace. We were seated at a table right at the rail, and had an excellent view of the fireworks. When the show started, we invited the little kiddos who were seated in the same area to come and drag their chairs over to sit with us (we made a lot of little friends very quickly, and all their parents got a moment of unexpected Adult Time!)

The last dessert party we went to where the seating for fireworks was in the Plaza Garden was pre-pandemic, but they had plenty of space reserved for all of the wheelchair folks who had made sure to note that in the reservation.

For any ADR or "party", "event" etc. at WDW, *always* make sure that you let them know in advance that you will need that accommodation. If you roll up to check in, and they were not expecting you in a mobility device, it does force them to scramble a bit sometimes.

Last time we did the party in the garden area they had some wheelchair spots marked off at the front rail. I will add they were the best front rail spots. This was prepandemic. I will also add they did not let the general public into the viewing area at all. (They busted someone who climbed over the fence )

We went to the dessert party in October (within the first week of Enchantment). My mom uses a scooter. We had our desserts and then headed over to the garden area to find seats. They put Mom right up on the front rail. Great seats overall. Below is one of the pics. There are some heads in front of us, but those were on the walkways and several feet away.Firework.jpg

We went to the pre-party on Sunday and they had a seperate area for only wheelchairs/scooters and their parties in the path that cuts through that part of the hub front of the grass area, they had everyone sit on the grass to keep the path clear from the entrance to the scooter area and then about 10 minutes before the fireworks told everyone to stand and fill in the space.

Curious if they let your whole party in the wheelchair ECV area.
