Enchanted Tiki Room

I noticed that the Enchanted Tiki Room did not appear on the map on this year's vacation planning DVD but it is still included on the website. Did they shut down this attraction? Are they planning to? Does anyone know why there is this discrepancy?

It's a musical show with animated birds including the one from Aladdin and the one from the Lion King. Perhaps someone else could give a better explanation but I hope that helps.

Disney usually includes just the most popular and major attractions on promotional maps in the vacation videos and such. I know one of the most recent brochures Disney put out left off Tiki Room, the Treehouse, Tom Saywer's Island, Riverboat, Cindy's Carousel, Mad Tea Patry, TTA, Carousel of Progress, and WDW Railroad. It doesn't mean they're closed, just that they didn't think they were marketable enough to warrant putting them on that map.

No, actually every other attraction is included in the maps on the video except the Tiki Room. They even include the restaurants and gift shops in the kit I have. That's why I was concerned.

Is there a reference to "Under New Management"? They've added that to the name of the attraction

It's certainly still there. I was just at MK earlier this week. It was likely just an oversite.

Yeah...I know about the Under New Management part but they didn't mention that either. Maybe it was just an oversight.

I was there last week and it was one of the FEW attractions that didn't have huge wait times so we did it. I've always loved this. I could be wrong but the theme of it was a little different. They seemed to have updated it somewhat. The tiki's do a little rap and disco now. I hadn't been to it in years, so I was assuming the under new management was to let us know in a "tongue in cheek way" that there are some new Tiki sheriffs in town so to speak. I thought it was very cute.
