Can anyone tell me whether or not the Enchanted Oak Tavern is still open for business?

Thanks in advance,
Myra

Bummer...We really did enjoy that place.

We have only eaten there once and was planning on making it a regular place to stop. Last time we were there was the spring of 2008.

Oh well, I thought they could possibly make it into the "whopping tree"...not sure if that is the correct name for the tree at the school or not.

Thanks to you all...

I think I liked the food better at the Enchanted Oak than what's going to be on the menu at 3 Broomsticks.Enchanted Oak was one of the best Counter service restaurants at any park.

At least you had that, during our summer trip of 2008, we walked over
thinking we were going to have lunch there only to find it was already being taken down, that was early July 08

uh...it's not even open yet. :confused3 How could you possibly know? Maybe 3 Broomsticks will be the best...maybe they will still use the same vendor?

I think you are setting yourself up to NOT like it quite honestly.

Like we tell all the "Disney" peeps who try Universal for the first time: You need to go with an open mind. If you don't, you are already predetermining the outcome and looking for ways/reasons to 'confirm' it.

I look forward to trying it and THEN I will form a comparison opinion. I hope you try it and like it too :thumbsup2

Hey Barb if you remeber I was sitting out front while you guys were riding DD and they were cutting down the trees and like you I am keeping an open mind and give it a try when we are there this year :thumbsup2

I agree about the food at EO being excellent. However, I am looking forward to trying the cornish pasty and shepherd's pie at Three Broomsticks.

But you can already get that at Universal! They serve both of those at Finnegan's and they're both delish! Had them this past October. More than likely it will be the exact same thing....or I would imagine so.
