when i was young we would get a big box and roll around the yard with it for hours and hours.. ah to have those times again ..
did it with grand kids they loved it..
did you ever invent fun with and empty cardboard box?
Yep...we took our refrigerator box, covered it with butcher paper, cut out doors and windows, and painted it to look like a house..complete with window boxes with flowers in them. The kids played with it until it just couldn't stand up anymore.
Maybe for Christmas this year, I'll just visit the backside of Home Depot!!!!
Yep we did the whole fort thing where we painted the outside and then when it fell over we broke it down and slid on it kinda like break dancing!! Fun for hours.....or days!!!!
Empty boxes = race cars, big rigs, house, etc. When my kids were wee they loved boxes - they would ignore the gift and go for the box and the discarded wrapping paper!
When they were in elementary school I was in charge of the carnival and got a refrigerator box and we turned it into a giant sea and the kids tossed a [fake] fishing line over the top and received a prize (from my DH who was hiding inside the box.)
Let me be the first to say that this reminds me of the Spongebob where he and Patrick were playing in a cardboard box. They were trying to get Squidward to use his imaaaaag-i-naaation!!
My 2 DS's (1 & 3) have been playing w/ the box we shipped stuff home from WDW in ever since we got back. OK, ever since I unpacked it, that was a few weeks later. I hate unpacking!
