Emotional over Disney

I swear that Disney has subliminal messages in their advertising! I tear up everytime I see a Disney World commercial or watch the planning DVD! Am I the only one???

I have always been that way, but since booking my Sept. trip, I think I have been more emotional. I just get so excited about sharing the experience with all three of our children for the first time. Plus, the past 2 years have been tough for our family and I think the idea of leaving the "real world" behind for a week long magical journey with my children is overwhelmingly exciting for me!

Oh me too! I have some "female issues" so I'm having to take more hormones and oh gosh, it's horrible! I see a mickey shirt in a store and i think, awwww I miss WDW!! and then I start crying and have to hide it from shoppers giving me weird looks! It's so sad but I love Disney so much I can't help it! They definitely know what they're doing!

I was just reading from one of the other threads about WDW to my DH and had to stop b/c I was crying. He looked at me and asked 'Why are you crying?" My only answer was "It's about Disney".
I think WDW is a magical place with magical powers.
No meds needed. Just tissues.

Disney commercials, Disney songs, Disney store. They all make me leaky! Even just reading the boards or THINKING about how excited my DD will be when she finds out we are going in September gets me all teary eyed!!

my kids look at me like i'm crazy every time I tear up!! but they don't understand that they are in training to be just like mom when they grow up!!!

I teared up just reading that others have the same disney tears I have! This is our first true family vacation. Some how i was able to save up enough $ to go! I know the minute i step foot on the DR the water works will start! They will be happy tears! Maybe thats just part of the magic.

I used to get all teary eyed at everything and anything Disney!!

Then just when I thought it couldnt get any worse... I took my 14 month old to Disney. She was soooo in love with Chip N' Dale!! To see her little face light up and see and hear her get so excited for the characters!! Oh my God, now I really cry when I see her respond to Disney with all the love and happiness it brings me I watch the video of our trip over and over just to relive it!!!

I've been driving my family crazy since we decided in Jan to go this June. Everytime a disney commercial or anything disney on tv, I scream "DISNEY" and everyone has to hush so I can savor the moment. Then I usually dance around, saying "we're going to disney". It maybe a budget-tight vacation but it will be a budget-tight at Disney. Eventhough we've been abunch, ds doesn't really remember the last time we went, eventhough he was 9, so it's sorta gonna be like it's his first time.

I get like that all time!!

I cry when I watch a Disney movie I havent seen in awhile. For example; Aladdin..I was watching that a couple months ago and started crying because I can remember being about 6 years old and my grandparents taking all of us kids to see it in the theater. We were so excited!!

I teared up when we went thru the gates on my first Disney trip in '06! Just all build up from wanting to go since I was a little girl to being 20yrs. old and it finally happening!!!

Going back late in '08 wooh!!!

Oh man, are you kidding me? I'm the biggest sap haha. Last year when I went to Disneyland for the second time, I cried when we walked through the entry. I mean CRIED lol.

Any time music from Disney rides comes on my ipod, I get all teary eyed. It's funny haha. People at work think I am weird.

And it has gotten worse since booking our trip. Everytime I see a commercial I just start thinking "wow, that will be us in September" and I get so emotional haha.

We are all weird! It's okay!!

I cry whenever I watch disney parades on youtube. when we were at AK for the first time last summer, we saw festival of the lion king and i was BAWLING throughout the whole thing!! Everyone around me kept asking if i was alright and i was like 'im so happyyyyy'

That commercial KILLS me!!! As soon as I hear the horse I start to cry.
See, I'm even crying now just thinking about it.

I bought a new camera last weekend ( that I MIGHT figure out before September ) and told DD she could have the old one. She said, "Really?" and I started to cry because I will pack it for her for our suprise trip ( nope, still haven't spilled the beans!) in September. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm crazy.

Oh, you are surprising yours too huh? Our kids have no idea about our November trip, and the closer we get to it the harder it is to not say anything. I caught myself yesterday with the kids, I nearly slipped. Its gonna be a looooong summer!

oh you are definitely not alone! in fact, its such a coincidence...im on my laptop in front of the tv and a disney commercial was just on...its hard to see what im typing because of my blurry eyes

I get the same way. A few days ago I was watching some WDW/DCL video's on YOUTUBE and was getting kept tearing up. I hope you and your children have a very magical trip! There is nothing like getting away from all our everyday lifes and steping into the magic disney has to offer!

I don't care if we only took Disney vacation for the rest of our lives, cruises, parks, 4 different park locations in different countries. I get so excited planning my trips and seriously only DISers can understand. My friends think I'm crazy for being in a "fan club" about disney. Just something about a place thats fantasy without the worry of bills, houses, deadlines, meetings, school functions, etc. just fun and play...i guess.

lol!!!! Since I usually take all my disney books to bed with me ( JUST GOT MY PASSPORTER!!!!) I had to tell her we would go next year so 1) we could TALK about it! and 2) ask her opinion on stuff. I seriously don't know how I am going to get through the summer.
