EMM reviews-did I make the right call?

Hello All,

Looking for our feedback. i have a choice of EMM or the not so scary halloween party...and both are around the same price. While i understand the walk onto 3 rides with breakfast (i'm allergic to eggs...seriously diminishes what i can eat)...i tend to think that the extra characters, parades, treats, fireworks and more time would be a better deal.

Can anyone give some insight as to what you think or why the EMM is better? I have 2 kids (ages 2 and 5). They love the 3 rides for EMM...but one is too short for SDMT, so parents will be splitting up a little bit with the kids.
I will be doing both in one day. With a nap after lunch of course. If I had to chose I would go for EMM as it offers something completely different... Empty park! Well, may be not completely empty but close enough.
MNSSHP is pretty crowded. Last year we still could ride Big Thunder Mountain continuously and quite a few rides had pretty short wait but it does not have this wonderful feeling of having the MK for yourself which you get at EMM...
And if you book both... Well, with our after lunch nap we managed more than 30 rides in a day. All of them with no or little wait. It really does not get much better than that!

We did it in January and had an absolute blast. Is it an expensive experience? Sure. But we had a great time and it really does live up to the hype. We rode 7DMT so many times I started to feel sick! LOL

To the PP about EMM vs. MNSSHP, I'd always pick the Halloween party. It's just more bang for your buck, honestly.

I would normally say MNSSHP is a better bang for your buck experience. But, with kids 2 and 5, that’s a bit tougher call. I know with mine, the better overall family experience would be EMM since 2 is just a touch on the young side to fully get a lot out of a late night event. Our kids get up early and are ready to get after it at Disney, so EMM works well. But you know your family best, so maybe a later event works for you.

At the end of the day, I like both offerings quite a bit.

Without a doubt - we would pick MNSSSHP....it’s a much longer experience, we LOVE the special characters (although usually focus on just one or two each party), we are not huge breakfast people but do like snacks/candy, my DH/Kids prefer to stay out late and sleep in and repeating those rides multiple times is not that important to us (we always manage to have a FP for 7DMT to ride it at least once!)

I have been to the party when my kids were 2 and 6. We rented a double jogger and both of them fell asleep before we left - but we used the late night time to ride space mountain etc as singles..

Hmmm def gave me a lot to think about.

While i think my youngest would love an empty park, but he's limited to 2 rides. the older one won't want to do pooh like 15 times...AHH, the decisions.

I wish the EMM was slightly cheaper...i'm thinking of doing MNSSSHP on Labor day (monday night) so hopefully the crowds will be a little more tame?

Is anyone else having trouble booking this? When I select the dates online, it comes up with a 7:45am available time slot, I hit the button and nothing happens....

There was a trick to it for me and is available at 180 days but not plus 10. I went to the website and selected the day I wanted and “Breakfast”. I scrolled down and found it in the “unavailable” for my date. I clicked the arrow for more info and searched for times. 7:30 shows. I clicked on that and booked. It did not become “clickable” until 180 days.
