We are heading to WDW the first week of June 2019. We are arriving on Saturday June 1st and departing on Friday June 7th. Sunday June 2 is a MMH for HS and Monday June 3 is a MMH for AK. In order to do the EMM at HS we would either have to switch up the days in the HS and AK and forgo MMH OR we could do EMM on Wednesday June 5th but then have to do Epcot on our departure day. Tuesday and Thursday of that week is devoted MK. Our drive home is 5 hours so it would not be a total loss BUT I think my oldest son (9 years) would totally enjoy Epcot. We are also staying at Yacht Club so Epcot is really close by. Thoughts? Is EMM worth completely planning around? We have boys who are 6 and 9 year old. TIA for feedback.

Could you get hoppers? Sunday EMH and morning touring, Weds EMM in HS, then head to Epcot for the rest of both days? You could use all of your prebooked FPs in Epcot since you will hit all of the HS tier 1s at EMM. First HS day, rd RnR, ToT, then hit Star Tours and whatever shows/characters you may want. Head to Epcot around lunch.

On your EMM morning, you'll be done TSL by park open, can do anything else you missed/wanted to double up, grab breakfast, then hop to Epcot even earlier than you did Sunday.

Love this suggestion but am wondering if it will be a worth the extra $$$'s? It will be $275 more to get park hoppers which we will only use 2 of the 6 days and then $260 more for the EMM. I am all about convenience so not opposed to spending the money but just wondering if it is worth it? My husband has made it very clear he want to spend the first part of the day in the parks but then wants to enjoy the resort the second half of the day.

I think the value proposition on HS EMM is completely dependent on whether you can snag a SDD FP. If you show up with that FP in hand, you can easily RD the other two rides while everyone is waiting for SDD. Reports have been that lines during EMM for SDD are 10ish minutes, so you're not getting the back to back to back rides like you can on SDMT at MK.

Staying at Yacht Club and planning afternoons at the resort, hoppers might be more valuable than EMM. You could do dinners in the World Showcase, see Fantasmic one night, etc.

Another option to get the SDD FP, you could plan that for your departure day. It's late enough in the week that you should be able to get a morning FP. Adding a ticket day at that point is cheaper than hoppers or EMM.

Helpful advice! Thanks!
