EMM and BOG reservations?

I have a BOG reservation for 8:00am, on a June 16th and just realized that there is also an EMM that day as well. How will that effect our reservation? Will it? Our hope like many others was to finish with BOG by 8:40 and hit 7DMT before the crowd arrives. Is this still doable? I’m imagining it may be quite busy with the EMM and I’m better off trying to get a FP. Suggestions?

Most of the reports are that you still usually get a ride in after the EMM crowd but before the RD crowd arrives. The EMM crowd will be heading out of Fantasyland for the most part so they aren't going to make it any more crowded. It does mean you won't get two rides on 7DMT before the RD crowd arrives but our experience (and others who've posted recently) has been that you don't necessarily get more then 1 ride on a non EMM day. You are also pretty much guaranteed that the park won't open earlier and make your PPO useless.

All that said, a lot of things can happen (ride can go down, open late, etc) and you aren't guaranteed a ride on 7MDT. If that's very important to you, I would grab an FP also. You can always change your FP to something else once you've ridden.

Thanks for the

Thanks for your advice. It’s pretty important for my group as the last time we were at MK SDMT went down and my a few of my kids didn’t get to ride it. (We did get Antime Fastpasses) However, they made it a must this time. I’ll grab a FP and hope for the best!

I did this last month. I was out of BOG and lined up at the fence by 8:40. At 8:50 we were walked through the standby queue and held at the loading area. EMM guests used the FP queue. Ride began boarding at 7:58. I was on the second train and boarded at 8:03. By the time I was through the rope drop crowds had begun to arrive.
