EmigrantDirect Interest Increase

ING really hasn't kept up. They aren't in the top 5, maybe not even the top 10 anymore. They used to always be #1. I don't know what happened. Unfortunately, I think lots of folks continue to use them based on past reputation and advertising. A $25 sign up bonus doesn't make up for a 0.6% difference in interest.

So who are the top 10?

I'm really curious...I would split up what's in the ING if I knew of others...

I have been with HSBC since February and have been very happy. They have consistently raised rates before or immediately after other banks - very competitive. They offer an ATM card, online access, easy internet software, prompt bank transfers, etc. You can get a free checking account if you need one too. The customer service reps I've spoken with on the phone are very knowledgable and friendly.

ING is a little "slow on the go" as far as raising their rates. :confused3

I've pulled all put a few $ out of my ING account and transferred it to my Emigrant Direct account. :thumbsup2

are there any special sign up bonuses for hsbc like the ing $25??? id like to open an 4.80 account with hsbc as well.
