EMHs procedure?

Hi All:

Someone planning a trip asked me this question over the holiday and I did have an answer. So, how do they clear out the guest who are NOT staying at a WDW Resort when Xtra Magic a Hours begin in the evening?

Someone planning a trip asked me this question over the holiday and I did have an answer. So, how do they clear out the guest who are NOT staying at a WDW Resort when Xtra Magic a Hours begin in the evening?

They don't clear it out. You can stay if you aren't an onsite guest. You just can't do any attractions without showing a magicband with a current resort stay.

The CM at the entrance to each ride/attraction have a handheld scanner and they scan your magic band to make sure you are staying on-site.

They do not clear out the guests anymore. To enter an attraction they do as PP stated, scan your MB to make sure you are staying onsite. But offsite guests are still welcome to shop and eat aka spend money $$

Did MK the other night when parks was open until 3am.
Not once did they scan our magic bands to make sure we were onsite guests.
To tell you the truth it was a waste of time, btm,hm,7 dwarfs, space mountain were all down.
We got to ride Aladdins carpets & waited 40 mins for Peter Pan, & this was at 2am!
I did mention to the concierge at CBR the next day, and she gave us all 3 fp's to use anytime, which made up for it.
