How do you know what attractions will be open during an EMH? Does it matter if it's AM or PM to what is open?

There are lists. I included MK list of attractions during emh from TP's. But it does matter for MK, because there are more rides open in the evening EMH than in the morning. I went to a morning emh in November and Adventureland was not open, Liberty Square or Frontierland was not open. It was pretty much Fantasyland and Tomorrowland that was open. In the evening, all of the lands are open. Not sure if the list changes, but that was how it was in mid November. There were a lot of confused and upset people who wanted to go to the 3 lands that weren't open on the morning emh.

At night at MK splash mountain closes at "normal" hours. Or at least it did last Oct. on each of the 3 evening EMH.

Yup.
They "substituted" the Tiki Room for Splash when they made that change.
(I don't know of too many who'd consider that an "even trade.") ;)

Gosh it was disappointing...... but now we know and heck I love the tiki room (absolutely not an even trade) but now I know it is open for those times and we can reserve it for that time instead of during the day.

Miss the "old" days when it was the "major" attractions open during EMH....

Splash was open for evening EMH last August when we were there.

I had this issue years ago during morning EMH at MK. I just assumed all of the attractions would be open, and was disappointed to find out that many of the rides I wanted to go on (BTMRR, Splash, HM, Pirates) were not open during morning EMH. I thought, "I got up an hour early for this?" It wasn't the end of the world, but it was disappointing. Because we were a party of all adults, we were not interested in many of the Fantasyland rides, wanting to focus on some of the other rides instead.

OP, you're smart to ask the question ahead of time! Then you'll be able to make an informed decision.

I feel like Splash keeps being added and dropped from PM EMH.
So at this point it's off?

There are special "EMH Times Guides" that are printed every week, or so, that offer EMH info on rides and (oddly enough) times of events in all of the parks.
They are available at park Guest Relations and (many times) resort concierge desks.

The latest guides can give you the most recent info.
