I just read on allears that EMH can be cancelled when holding events such as Grad Nites. We will be there during this time the first week of June. Is the cancellation automatic or how does that work? We were definitely planning to take advantage of the extra hour!!

Thanks for any insight!
Ellen

Pretty much if a Grad Night is held the night before a scheduled EMH then EMH will likely be rescheduled to a different day or cancelled.

Just for clarification EMH is for Disney Hotel guests only. MM is for 3+ day ticket holders & is Disneyland only.

OUCH! We specifically planned our days to avoid the grads! (Love kids - are both teachers but...) What would you recommend - going on grad
days/nights and getting an EMH or just going at park opening and avoiding grad nites altogether?? What's our best strategy? (This is first time in DL for most of our group.)

Thanks!!

Hmmmm. That would mean ALOT of EMH's cancelled every year in May and June. I don't know if I read any reports of EMH's being cancelled because of Grad Nites last year. Hopefully someone else can chime in to the likelihood of that happening. I could be wrong but I don't think this is likely to happen.

Thank you for replying! I thought that would mean a lot of cancellations, too, but we are used to WDW and DL and DCA are new to us.
If I called Disney would they know the answer this far out? And who would I need to call?

Thanks for your input!

If you called Disneyland at this point, my guess is that you'd be told the stock answer about when EHMs typically occur, but it is subject to change. The operating calendar is typically posted about 45-days in advance and the entertainment and EMH information is usually added closer to 30-day out.

I skimmed through the May and June calendars on wdwinfo, and it doesn't appear consistent when EMHs were affected by Grad Nites. For certain, there was no MM/EMH on May 23rd or 24th due to the 24-hour event, but that wouldn't have anything to do with Grad Nites. Assuming the calendar is correct, it doesn't look like the majority of the May/June EMH/MM dates were impacted by Grad Nites. So if the EMH was cancelled, something else might have been going on.
