I've heard of EMH at WDW but not at DLP.

What's the story with it as it would appear to exist?

Is it for all On site hotel guests?

Yep its for all disney hotels, and a couple of the nearby ones. During peak season its 2 extra hours before park opening, every day.

But just in Disneyland, not WDS.

Hi, you said everyday for peak times, do you think they will they have them every morning in early January?
We're going 5th-8th and I'm guessing it will be quite quiet anyway so might not need them?

I haven't heard yet if there will be EMH from October onwards. The main site only says they go up to September.

I've found it on the DLP site and it says the EMH run from 1st February to 30th September.

we travel 30th september and won't be in the parks until 1st and 2nd October:(

It's such a good perk for staying in a DL hotel, they'd be mad to get rid of it! I just hope they annouce it on the website too.

I was talking to DW about this and we both thought it wouldn't make that much difference as we thought, unlike WDW, most DLP guests stayed in Disney hotels:confused3

Is the park noticeably quieter during the EMH?

Its more or less deserted for the first hour of EMH - EMH really makes a huge difference if you have young children with you, as there are so many rides, especially in Fantasyland, which don't have Fastpass, and on which queues build up really quickly after about 9am (and even more quickly after 10am ropedrop).

I'm not convinced about most folk going on a DLRP holiday staying onsite either - you have to factor in the associated hotels, which are very close, can work out much cheaper for a family trip, and don't offer EMH. Then there are all the Val d'Europe properties nearby too (this area gets bigger every time we go to DLRP) - again, possibly works out cheaper for a family to stay there than onsite, and no EMH for them either, unless of course the whole family have Dream Passes.

Yeah, loads loads quieter!!!

I was thinking the exact opposite for my WDW trip next year....that EMH wont make a diference as tehre are 23 on site hotels!! Lol.

You notice the difference when you're there. They have ropes by the entrance to fantasyland and discoveryland and they only let you through if you can show your hotel pass. There were a lot of people (daytrippers and other hotels) that had been allowed into Main Street but were stopped by the ropes.

The queues (if any at all) were sooo much shorter than after 10am.

I imagine they will continue with EMH but they may switch it to 2 extra hours at closing like last year when it varied to when you wnet whether the hours were before opening or at closing. As in the winter months it will still be dark in the morning.
