If we are planning to go to Epcot's EMH on a particular night, on our upcoming trip to WDW, where do we get those wristbands that are required to get into the park (along with our KTTW card)?

I assume you are talking about evening extra magic hours. They did away with the wristbands. You need to show your KTTW card as you enter each ride.

Yes, was referring to evening hours. I had read on All Ears that a wrist band was required. Thanks for the information.

As a PP mentioned... disney is no longer using the "wristband" method of EMH nights. The new policy is to simply show your room card key at the entrance of an attraction.

If your group is going to split up... make sure each of them has they're own key at all times during to the night to ride attractions.

You may notice a long line waiting to get into the attraction due to CMs attempting to check keys and people fumbling around back backs and fanny packs trying to find them... this does slow down the process... so make sure you have your keys ready.

I imagine the reason for this change is so non-resort guests aren't "shooed" out of the park at regular closing time (after all, they might have money to spend on food/souvies!).

Definately a possibility... I also heard it had to do with Disney wanting to be more "environmentally friendly"...

Yes the wrist bands are a thing of the past. The last time we had one was in 2005. My DD was only 2 and the CM went to put one on her and she pitched a fit...so he put it on our stroller handle. I left it on our stroller for almost 6 months afterwards just because it made me think of Disney...:goodvibes

Non-resort guests were never shooed out of the park; they just couldn't get the wristbands to ride the attactions that still operated during EMH.

If you stay overnight on a Saturday in the park, can you use that room key for EMH on a Sunday night? (assuming you don't return it)

The room key is yours to keep as a souvenir. The resorts do not take them back.

You are considered a guest of WDW until midnight of your last day. If you still have valid park admissions you can go to the parks and take part in the EMH. So if you are staying at a Disney resort Saturday night you are a WDW guest until midnight of that Sunday.

Hmm... does anyone know when they got rid of the wristbands? We were there in August 2008 and we still used them.

It makes sense for WDW to go this route. Besides being friendly on the enviornment, those guests that are not staying at WDW resorts can still spend $$$ in the parks....especially in these trying times. It would be great if WDW actually has special sales on WDW merchandise in the parks during EMH hours as more of an incentive to stay.

They are not following the wristband method anymore. You are advised to have your rom key so that you could enjoy the entertainment.
