So, my 18yo daughter and I are planning a Jan/Feb trip in 2015 and as it is just the two of us we are contemplating for the first time ever taking advantage of EMH in the morning. My plan would be hit EMH and go on as many rides as we can until normal park opening, then in the first two hours after normal opening hit the slightly less popular rides interspersed with pre booked FP+ for repeat headliner rides. Then we could have a sit down lunch and either head back to the resort for a rest and return to the parks later in the afternoon or we could park hop to a quieter park after lunch. Has anyone done this kind of thing, I would really appreciate people's feedback on how it worked for them. Thanks :goodvibes

We always do the morning EMH. Yes you get up at the crack of dawn but, you can get so much more done first thing.

Sounds like the textbook method to take advantage of EMH :thumbsup2

Just be sure to take that rest period during the day. It's super easy to get caught up and keep running - thinking waiting in a line will be like a break (it's not).

We do that all of the time, morning EMH rock. Then park hop to a less crowded park :thumbsup2 usually you get 2-3 hours of low crowds to hit the headliners. And you might want to save your FP+ for your afternoon park;)

It is a great plan. But a few things to think about...sounds like crowd level will be low on the dates you are traveling, so morning hours may not be needed as much for the dates you are talking about. Also, if you are morning people...morning hours are no problem. If you are night owls, it maybe hard on you to change your internal clock. I am a morning person...no problem for me, but my teenage son has more problems getting up that early and being in that magical mood. Your teenage daughter maybe the same way (it is a teenager thing usually.)

It's funny isn't it normally my daughter is not a great early morning riser however whenever we go away on holidays and particularly when we are at WDW she always jumps out of bed ready to attack the day ahead. As we are going for about 15 days I think I will mix it up a bit, maybe use EMH AM once at all the parks, RD for most days and a few sleep in days where we hit the parks later and stay through to the night time to see the fireworks. It will take a bit of planning but thats the part I love so its off to the drawing board. :surfweb:
