Is it better to plan to go on the days the park opens early or stays open later? We are going the end of May if that makes any difference. Thanks!
April

For our family going to the early EMHs are great! I know that most guides and touring plans do not recommend this but these are the reasons it works for us:
*We get up early every regular day so we follow the same schedule at WDW
*We like to take a break in the afternoon-so by being at a park as early as possible we get alot of rides in
*Our DD is 4 and usually goes to bed at 7 at home so staying out late is not always pretty for our family:rotfl:

I heard that most rides that are open during the morning or also open at night, plus some. I was just looking at the site (disneyworld.com) and noticed this was true except in AK. Just something to think about.

If you have kids though, I would go with their flow.

we find later to be better, but then we aren't morning people ;)

Morning hours usually are only 1 hour, but evening hours can be 3-4. Last year MK's evening hours ran from 11pm to 2am while we were there.

We go to morning EMH almost every day of our trips.

We also go during the end of May (Memorial Day) and are able to walk on to most attractions during that first hour. We are able to see most of a park and we head back to the resort for a nap just as the crowds/lines are starting to form (around 11:00). Later in the day, the major attractions can have 2 hour waits.

The kids and I are not morning people, but it's worth it for us. We bathe and set out clothes the night before, so we just have to brush teeth and hair and we're ready to go. We keep breakfast foods in the room, so we can just eat something on the way to the bus stop. We get as much done in the morning as possible and then take a nap for several hours. We return to a park for the evening, but usually relax and take a slower pace.

We go to several evening EMHs (we always get park hoppers), but have found that there still tend to be long lines at that time of year.

I think it would be really beneficial to get to AM EMH at all of the parks (depending on the ages of your kids, Epcot for example doesn't have a lot of stuff for littler kids that would have long lines later. Maybe not DHS either) except that we can never be that organized and actually get to any of them. My kids LOVE PM EMH at MK and I think we will try to hit PM EMH at AK (just to check it out) but we have done DHS and did not like it at all and have no reason to do Epcot.
