absolutly hated the late emh's. they were IMHO a complete waste of time. this past july the emh nights were so crowded that i couldnt wait to leave. if my brother was staying at WDW as long as we were we would have left so much sooner. was such a dissapointment over the old e-ride nights.
in fact in an earlier thread i started back in the beginng stages of the emh nights i voiced my opininon as to how i felt that these nights would be crowded and fairly difficult navigate. even thought the emh nights were in its early stages i felt very strongly about it.well my fears were not unfounded. we did an MGM emh night which was ok beause i feel that most of the crowds were at Epcot and MK for the july 4th fireworks but the emh at MK was a horror. i felt that on a peak time the emh nights would be just this and i was correct. i even had a moderator tell me he couldnt understand why i would want to pay for something that i could get for free. yes, he was correct in his statement and i respect his opinion but i would have gladly been crazy enough to pay for the e-ride nights but the cost would have been well worth it to me. in the 4 hours we were there on the emh night, not counting the time to watch spectro and wishes we only managed to go on SM once, IASW once, BuZZ once and BTMRR once only because we had pastpases for it. POTC twice. on e-ride night we would have done that plus SplM ,PP and HM before the first hour and a half were up.
i tried to get people to write to WDW and express their opinions on this subject and i did get many positive responses to my thread. i did manage to get approx 55 replies to my thread. the moderator pointed out to me that the amount of people who replied to my thread really were in the minority because not enough people here at the Dis really didnt reply. he again was correct in his statement but realisticly how many threads do you see getting over 40 replies that dont have to do with wheelchair riding line cutting smoking brazilian teens who wear white shorts on Kali RR while the children who are using the bushes next to bathrooms as bathrooms while their parents are complaining loudly about the cost of food and the taste of WDW water and the behavior of rude guests. this sentence is not meant to offend the Op's of these types of threads but to point out that most long threads usually have do do with touchy subjects or games.
strangely enough i can see why WDW did do this. the parks were so crowded and the lines so long that the only other thing to do is to shop and eat. on that fateful july emh night the lines for the food carts in frontierland were 15-20 deep. the gift shops were also packed. so from a WDW standpoint the emh's are a success and are here to stay.
since i feel i can safely say the MK is the primo WDW park why not have e-ride nights in addition to emh's. this way you could satisfy guests like myself, family of 4, and others who may agree with me.
here is the link for that thread if anyone is interested. some of what i posted here appears almost word for word in this thread.

i know staffing an e-ride night along with the emh park can be a personell problem but now after experiencing both e-ride and emh nights i feel even more strongly about bringing back e-ride nights.
i can safely say i will never go to an emh night park ever again. e-ride nights i would happily go to every night that would be available during my stay
