I am wondering how does Disney verify that everyone in your party is a resort guest? I am staying at the Poly with a MYW ticket, my neices will be staying with me for a night and will have 3 day tickets, how would disney confirm that they are resort guests if we decide to hit a late night emh how does wdw confirm that the girls are staying on property with me when they just have a "regular" ticket? I guess I should just put them on the reservation so I a legit, how does this work? Thanks!

You show your room key. Most have their tickets loaded onto their KTTW, but there are those who simply have a room key. As long as they are registered guests in the resort, they will receive a room key at check-in.

So if i understand this i will register the girls and even though they are minors and have "regular"(i don't know what to call them lol) tickets they will be issued a room key also? this is checked at each ride? Again I have never done EMH ever so I have no idea how it works, thanks for the details!

Slightly OT, but let's say I wanted to bend the rules and have a local/townie friend attend an EMH evening.

If I 'lost' my KTTW card (it would only be a room key as I have an AP) and had another issued giving my friend the first KTTW card he could gain the benefits of EMH with me?

You could do this, but I believe your name is on your KTTW card. So, in essence you'd both have the same name. If you encountered a Cast Member who looked closely at your KTTW card he or she might think you were twins. :rotfl:

Everyone that is on a resort ressie is issued a resort key. My kids are 8 & 4 and they are always issued room keys without charging priviledges. The room keys must be shown when entering a park with an AM EMH and must be shown at each attraction during a PM EMH.

Yep, and in the early days of the program they would actually swipe your keycard on a handheld device (making sure it was swiped only once and it wasn't an expired key, etc. etc.) and then give you a wristband for the night. Now they've switched to no wristbands and only a cursory glance at the keys (in fact the artwork on our Dolphin keys was so dark during pm EMH they didn't know if they were good now or last year). At least with wristbands, sure a person could "give" a wristband to someone who technically didn't qualify but I could still be assured that one card was issued one wristband, thereby keeping attendance in check. It is now so out of control that many find it unbearable and have decided to let the cheaters have at it. It doesn't really matter what nice features Disney may decide to offer there will allows be someone willing to cheat the system. At some point you just have to make a conscious decision to do what's right. Remember, their park=their rules.

So another tactic is to simply add your friend to your room reservation (assuming you weren't on a dining package and were still below the occupancy limit) and get a KTTW card for that friend.
