I have never stayed on property, so need to get expert advice on my idea for park switching with early magic hour. We don't have a lot of interest in MGM. So, my thought is to go to EMH and ride RRC, ToT, and Star Tours. Then, I want to switch to MK. But how fast can this be done? I only want to bother if I can get to MK pretty darn soon after opening. (We are going to be there March 7-11.)

What do you think? Can we make it?

It has been a while, but I seem to recall that my dayghters and I did TOT twice and RRC in a half hour once, so I think you could do those three rides in about an hour before heading on over to MGM. I think I would run to RRC and get fast passes, then do TOT, then do RRC, and then do Star Tours. You may not need the fast passes, but if it is a busy day they might help. Given your posted travel dates, I think you will be fine.

Good luck!

We are big fans of EMH! You can definately do those then head over to MK. Only bad part is that ToT and RRC are right next to each other, but Star Tours is at the other end of the park! So keep that in mind! I'd go toward RRC first, then Star Tours.

After you've done the rides, go to Starring Rolls and pick up baked good to nosh while you head over to MK.

Dont arrive after park opens. Always be there at least 30 minutes early. We also drive the car even when staying on property. It is more convenient.

Being a newbie to onsite privledges, just wanted to clarify--you are talking about arriving a half an hour before EMH starts?

Yes! Say you want to go to the EMH at MK. MK is scheduled to open at 9am. Since you are a resort guest, you can get in on a certain day an hour early (8am). You want to be at the gate at 7:30am! Sometimes they open the main street early, so you can get into the parks, maybe grab a muffin somewhere and line up for the "rope drop" (they have certain areas roped off).

We are used to getting up at "0 dark 30" as my kids say. I crack the whip to get everyone moving, but it is so worth it!
