EMH night at MK on Christmas Day

I am confused about the EMH night. I had read somewhere that you need to pick up your bracelet in the evening before the EMH starts. Is this true? We want to go to MK Christmas night but will not be arriving there until sometime after dinner. We are having dinner at Chef Mickey's and I was hoping to just ride the monorail there afterwards. But then I also heard that if they are at capacity we will not be able to get in anyway. So is it possible to go to EMH night without going to the park during the day and if so how do I get the wristband?

Sorry so long. Gettign nervous now that it is getting close. 40 days to go.

You can enter Magic Kingdom for Evening EMH at anytime from two hours before Evening EMH begins until it ends that night.Just be sure to have a Key To The World card for each member of your party.You will have to show that to enter Magic Kingdom once Evening EMH starts and to obtain a wristband.I don't think Magic Kingdom will be closed due to capacity during Evening EMH because only WDW Resort Guests are allowed then,so you should be fine.
