Can anyone tell me which is less crowded, the EMH in the morning or evening?
TIA

It really depends on the park and the time of year. We usually only do the EMH at night, and have noticed, especially at MK, those days tend to be busier. However, if MK is opended until 1 or 2am, by 11pm or so, the crowds start to wind down.

We are going 7/26-8/3/11. MK is open until 2am on the nights it stays open late.
Thanks for your help! :)

I my experience, the AM EMH are not all that busy. Most, but not all of our Pm EMH experiences have been fairly busy. But we go during low crowd times, so busy is relative.

I love the PM EMH because it's so neat to see and experience everything after dark. And, as a pp stated, it does start to really thin out after 10:30/11:00.

Both have limited number of people compared to the parks during the day which makes it very easy and quick to do your favorite attractions. It really just depends on if your family is an am or pm family. My family is more of a pm family and we love to stay until it closes and like the pp mentioned seeing the attractions at night is amazing. :wizard:

hours are great if you have park hoppers. By 1:00 or 2:00 PM the crowds are crazy. We usually have left the parks before then.

PM EMH hours are crowded early as noted above. If you are a night owl, the really late MK hours have very low crowds.

Can you tell me how i can find out the EMH for our october 2011 trip.
Thanks Viv

We like AM EMH at MK - lots of rides are open.
Late night EMH hours at the other parks are better.
Especially when DHS has a 2nd Fantasmic show - it's the best and less crowded show and no need to pay for a dinner meal package:goodvibes

Hours are usually posted 6 months in advance - maybe 7 months befoe the 180 day mark. :)
So for October - I would guess they should be out by now.

Here is a link...I found Octobers

Thanks for all the great info!! My family is split my DH is a morning person, my DD (16) likes to sleep in. Getting my teenager & her friend up early enough to make the morning EMH, I think is going to be impossible. I guess we will just to have to play it all by ear! :)

You can find the resort hours with early admission on this site under theme parks! :)

Thanks Pooh 2001 and p13 - i will have a look now.
Just started planning now, so got a bit of catch up to do!!

I don't mean to bring this down - and it may just have been our bad luck - but we (DGF and I) went to EMH at night at MK last year and we queued for longer on rides then than we had in the daytime previously!

That said, there is nothing quite like riding Big Thunder Mountain or queuing for the Haunted Mansion in the dark! Thrilling and spooky and wonderfully good fun!

The atmosphere at night seemed to be a lot more joyful too, as though everyone there were kids out past their bed-time! It felt a little like we were all breaking the rules and having a big old party while the parents were away!

I've never done the morning one, but I'd certainly recommend the evening-night time EMH, despite what I said about the queues!

Whatever you decide, hope you have LOADS of fun! :D

Thanks so much for the info. We are going to try & make the best of it! :)

The crowds are A LOT lighter at morning EMH. The evening ones can get quite crowded especially the earlier part of the evenings.

I agree with a PP who said that the parks take on a different feel at night. It is really kind of neat. However if you are looking for low crowds morning is definitely the better bet.

I had the same experience last time I was in the parks two summers ago (late August). We stayed for our first nighttime EMH at EPCOT and got to ride two rides in the two hours extra the park was open. We ditched the EMH for the rest of the week we were there because we were so disappointed.
