We will be in WDW from 10/1-10/10. Since there are relatively lower crowds in October, how much should I pay attention to EMH? For example on the Tuesday we are there it's MGM's EMH & Wednesday is MK's late EMH. Should we got to MGM on Tues & MK on Wed or do the opposite? Anyone go around this time & what did you find doing EMH or not doing EMH? Thanks

We are going in Sept. another traditionally lower crowd season, so l guess I would have the same question...Any guesses?

Less than 90 days now....Dalton5 :grouphug:

Some hotels are already sold out for the Columbus Day Weekend. We are going 9/30 - 10/10 and will not be trying EMH. It just isn't worth fighting the crowds IMO.

How do you know what the EMH nights are for october? As far as I can see they don't even have september posted yet :confused3 I'd love to know where you got the info so I can see septembers dates!

That being said, overall we found morning EMH's to be very pleasant and evenings to be a waste anywhere but MGM.

I am using the link in Deb's website for historical info...seems like EPCOT is Monday EMH, Tuesday is MGM's, & Wednesday is MK's. For my purposes I avoided EMH on all the days except the three listed above. I am just wondering if I should switch my Tues to MK & my Wed to MGM.

Just curious, which hotels are sold out already?

I REALLY wouldn't bet on EMH being accurate because of MNSSHP. The MK closes to guests at 6 PM if you aren't attending the party. I would think MGM might be pretty darn scary if people leaving the MK suddenly pack into MGM for EMH! :earseek:

Add Columbus Day increased crowds in there too and it might be pretty cozy in ANY of the parks. I would try to wait until they release the official hours if at all possible because you just never know what sort of changes they might make. :confused3

This is so true. The official schedule for september should hit around the beginning of july and october around the beginning of august, but even then they've been playing with the emh's up to two weeks out :confused3 they really aren't predictable at all.

We will be at WDW October 1 - 8 also, and I'm avoiding EMH like the plague. ;) October (IMO) is getting to be more and more crowded. I compare it to the crowds in late May around Memorial Day weekend. Crowds are not unbearable (I'm sure they're much lighter than summer crowds), but you still need a plan.

The biggest problem I have with planning right now is that WDW has changed the EMH days a little during the summer months and I don't know if that'll carry into the fall. :confused3 I'm going to make my plans according to the "typical" EMH days according to allearsnet.com and touringplans.com and make changes if I need to when the official days and hours come out.

My plans right now are to go to the park the had an EMH the night before. For example, if MK has an EMH on Wed night, then we will go to MK on Thursday. HTH

I'm curious about this too, as we're going 10/1-8. I think people should differentiate between morning and evening EMH in their discussion; most people still seem to be reporting morning EMH to be less crowded (it was for us last time we were there in 9/03) because people like to sleep in on their vacation, but all the reports I've seen of evening EMH suggest it's too crowded. Right now, we're planning on making all the morning EMH offered, but none of the evening ones.

Luv2Travel: I can't seem to find the "typical" EMH listed anywhere. I keep finding the summer schedule. Can you help me? Can anyone help me? :confused3

I plan to take advantage of all EMH during out trip. This will be our first trip during value season. I just can't imagine leaving the parks at 6:00pm or 9:00pm. :earseek:

EMH will give us more time in the parks to do our favorite rides and shows over and over.

This page has what I called the "typical" EMH days, and then it states that the schedule may vary. Underneath that chart it shows how the schedule has varied for the summer months. HTH :flower:

I just love that I'm not the only October planner!! :flower:

Someone posted that they talked to a CM (if I remember the post, I got the impression the CM was a bit surly...) who indicated that EMH PM was " Monday MK PM EMH< Tuesday Animal Kingdom, Thursday Epcot pmEMH, I seem to have left off MGM pm emh from that post - I had tried to plug in my dates to what that poster listed from the CM....

OK, I have no idea if that makes any sense at all! I dont mean to add any more confusion...

From what I've gleaned from posts I will also avoid PM emh, and maybe add a 2nd MNSSHP instead. As much as I've always wanted to visit Disney in October I'm thinking with all the ads Disney has, along with the incentives this will indeed be one crowded year... (as the resorts seem to be at capacity) so good for Disney, bad for me, why is it we all dream of that vacation of no lines??? (oh and of course, no debt!! :rotfl: ) We went in the heat of July, and I am just going to enjoy the crowds of Food and Wine, as well as MNSSHP!! (I still cant believe the dates I chose were Columbus Day weekend!! :faint: )

Now how to I make my late night DD into an "early riser"!! :rotfl:
