I have read all of what has been posted about this and I'm still confused...and, given that we're leaving in a week, now I'm really stressed out. My question is, "is the old EMH schedule the same during the test period?" Everything I've read today makes me think the answer is no, but I spoke to someone at Disney and they seemed to think yes....

I had planned to do EMH in the morning at AK on Monday 5/17, MGM on Tuesday 5/18 and MK on Thursday 5/20. Regardless of the interpretation, it looks like I'm fine on Monday at AK, but now my other two days are in question...

Someone please help...

I just spoke to someone at WDW and he cleared it all up for me. It looks like I'll be going back to the drawing board...I think this stinks! I have PS reservations and a whole itinerary that will have to change now. I'm happy for those who will be able to utilize this program, but I have two young children and we're all early risers, so I went wholeheartedly with the EMH mornings/afternoon breaks/park hopping strategy. Now we won't even be able to do EMH for MGM as we're leaving on Saturday morning. *sigh* I planned for a lot of hours and a good chunk of that time is wasted.

I know how you feel. I am leaving on Friday for 5 nights at the WL. When I made my flight reservations, I knew that we would at least have EMH at MK for Sunday. Now that Disney has changed the EMH I now have no days for EMH at MK, morning or evening. That really STINKS!!! I think it was very poor planning on Disney's part. If they would have announced this earlier, I would have not picked those particular dates to travel. I emailed Disney to express my disappointment, but have not heard from them yet. My blood really boils when I think about this, but I know once I am down there, I will have a great time.

I am looking at this from a neutural point of view since it does not effect me really. Disney has always said that hours are subject to change. As far as I know, this was announced about a month ago. I just think that Disney has hear a lot of requests for E-nights, and with the busy season upcoming, they figured to try it while it was not peak season to be able to make the changes.

One of the dissadvantages that I have found with "value" season is that is when they tend to change things around with hours and repairs and closing shows and hotels.

I would love it if they continued the testing when I was down there, but I will be there from May 21 - 25 and we plan on only doing MK and Epcot mostly.

That's just my 2 cents, sorry if it upsets anyone.

I am still confused...:confused2

So, will Disney still be using the regular schedule during this testing period? We are arriving on May 20 which will be at the tail end of the testing period. So, will the testing be from May 9th - 20th using the testing schedule only and then on the 23rd, the schedule will go back to its regular schedule?

Or...will they be using the testing schedule and the regular schedule simultaneously?

Thanks!!!

14 days and counting!!!:flower1:

During the testing, those will be the only hours. Then it will revert back to the standard emh schedual when the test is over. Although it is not unheard of for them to keep things going a bit longer.

I feel your pain. DH and I spent hours creating our original plan based on the morning EMH and then the test was sprung on us. It is a bit confusing and took us a while to figure it out, but luckily we did not have much trouble rearranging our plans. I just hope that the parks are not unbearably crowded during the evening EMH. Anyway, below is the original EMH and the test schedule. I hope this helps!

Here is the EMH (MORNINGS ONLY) schedule prior to May 9th:

Sunday - Magic Kingdom
Monday - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - Disney-MGM Studios
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Magic Kingdom
Friday - Animal Kingdom
Saturday - Disney-MGM Studios

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Here is the schedule from May 9 - 22:

Sunday - NO MORNING EMH - Epcot (evening)
Monday - Disney's Animal Kingdom (morning) - NO EVENING EMH
Tuesday - NO MORNING EMH - Disney-MGM Studios (evening)
Wednesday - Epcot (morning); Magic Kingdom (evening)
Thursday - NO MORNING EMH - Disney's Animal Kingdom (evening)
Friday - Magic Kingdom (morning) - NO EVENING EMH
Saturday - Disney-MGM Studios (morning) - NO EVENING EMH

The original schedule is not in effect during the test period. I only listed it, so you could compare the two.

I'm feeling a little nervous about our trip, May 22-29th. The test hours will just be over, but what happens if they decide to continue them? When we will find out?

I also have several priority resv., and we are a family that has planned on full use of EME, and my reservations are all centered around those days!!

Hopefully, if they do continue the test schedule, we'll be able to change our priority res. the best that we can, keeping in mind that others will be changing theirs as well, and there would possibly be cancellations for the dates and times that we need.

If anyone hears anything new for that week, let us know!

Is this if you are staying "onsite" only?

We will be stafing off-site and using a Florida resident play 4 pass, will this change anything?

Thanks for clearing up my confusion. :teeth:

I hope they don't change the schedule on me again after the May 22. We will be there May 20-28, so we use the EMH for the first two days on the test schedule, and then revert back to the old one after that.
:daisy:

Yes, the EMH is only for resort guests and people staying at the Hilton (I think it's the Hilton). :flower3:

Only 12 days to go!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
